Positive Behavior Support – Drinking Fountains

What we do not want to see

There are never to be yelling at the drinking fountains.

Never take a drink longer than what is allowed.

Students are never to cut in line.

Pushing and kicking are unacceptable behaviors.

Never touch the spout with your mouth or your hand this is unhealthy.

You are to get back in line after you have taken your drink. Do not re-drink.

Almost but not quite behaviors

These students are not yelling, but talking is not allowed at the drinking fountain.

Student should not take a drink longer than the allotted amount of time.

The students are not to stand side by side. We expect all students to be in single file

when waiting for their drinks.

Even swinging arms when waiting to get a drink could injure someone. Keep your hands

to yourself when waiting for a drink.

We never want to see a student put their hands in the water. This is unhealthy.

Students are walking way too fast.

Students are to take too much time to get back in line.

Behavior that is expected

We want all students to be silent while waiting in line.

Students are to count to three in their head while taking a drink of water.

Students are to stand in a single file. Keep their hands and feet to themselves. After a

drink, return to the classroom or get back in line.
