VIDEOCONFERENCES AND PROJECTS

WORLD CULTURES:  Dr. Stewart's World Culture students have submitted a proposal to present a videoconference presentation to other schools across the United States on "The Underground Railroad".

Once their project is complete, The CILC has agreed to post their project on line for collaboration to other schools with similar curriculum and interests.  More information will be posted on the results of their project.

 

AMELIA SENIORS TOUR REGIONAL COLLEGES FROM ADVISORY PERIOD.

Connie Wallace's advisory seniors have been taking virtual field trips to regional colleges.  Miami University and Wright State University have made 30 minute presentations to Amelia students for general information about their schools.  More colleges are being scheduled.

McMurdo Station, Antarctica, November 28, 2007 -- A second season in Antarctica for the Antarctic Geological Drilling (ANDRILL) Program has exceeded all expectations, according to the co-chief scientists of the program's Southern McMurdo Sound Project.

Our students met with and collaborated on this project with two scientists working on this project.  For more information go to http://www.andrill.org/ to explore the project.

   Loans that change lives

Mr. Tom Wilson's social studies students collected over $125.00 and set up a lending grant to third world entrepreneurs.  The students plan to study regions via videoconferencing where the money is being used to help people in poverty.
