P.T.O. Mission Statement
1. To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school,
community and place of worship.
2. To raise the standards of home life.
3. To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and
youth.
4. To interrelate the home and the school so that parents and
teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and
youth.
5. To develop between educators and the general public such united
efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in
physical, mental, social and spiritual education.
Sponsored Activities
1. Fund raisers:
A) purchased ceiling fans for all the classrooms.
B) add to and upgrade playground equipment.
C) provide mini - grants for teachers to attend conferences and
seminars to further their education.
D) provide educational programs for the students such as Sea World.
E) provide educational aides such as software for the classroom.
F) purchase books for the library.
G) supplement the Accelerated Reading Program.
H) sponsor three Book Fairs to promote reading, with half of the
profits going to the library fund.
I) Santa's Workshop service project.
P.T.O. provides for the needs of our students. The parents of our P.T.O. have
been a constant help. W.T. students and the teachers benefit daily from their generosity. Thank you!
