Creating Masterpieces
|

Art Club is offered to fourth and fifth grade students who show a strong effort
in art. Those students are also selected based on their answers on their
applications as well as their grades. Students must maintain good grades
or they are subjected to dismissal from Art Club. Currently, there are
twenty-eight members. So far this year, we have made Art Club buttons,
pumpkin pins for the WT Student Council, fabric Christmas ornaments, and painted
a WT Winter Wonderland on the windows in the glass hallway. We have just
finished making clay hearts to sell for Valentine's Day. We hope to raise
enough money so we can purchase disposable cameras and learn a little about
photography.
Art Club meets every other Friday, depending on the
school calendar, 8:00-9:00. Our next project is to help design and paint
the set for the fifth grade play.
