Amelia High School Students and Parents,

"And I am firm in my belief that a teacher lives on and on through his students.  I will live if my teaching is inspirational, good, and stands firm for good values and character training.  Tell me how can good teaching ever die?  Good teaching is forever and the teacher is immortal."  - Jesse Stuart

Have a great year!

Kate Hart, a junior in the International Baccalaureate
program at Amelia High School,
has been selected as a member of the 2008 Martin W. Essex School
for the Gifted.  This program provides a week long residential gifted/talented experience for
rising seniors in Ohio.  Only
seventy students are selected throughout the state to participate in this most prestigious program.  Congratulations on this fine
honor.

Kevin Vance
, a ninth grader
in Mrs. Daley's English class, took first place in a winning poem.
Her students participated in the March 3, 2008 "Read Across
America Day" contest sponsored
by Sylvan Learning Center. Since March 3rd was also Dr. Seuss' birthday, students were
encouraged to revisit the style of Dr. Seuss and then write a story in
that style.  Kevin took first prize which was a $50 gift card.
Congratulations Kevin!
