| Students in grades 8-12 have been
involved in a career development process called the Individual Career
Plan (ICP). As part of this process, students initiate and review
and Individual Career Plan document. This document is a planner
that helps students set tentative career goals and educational plans to
reach those tentative goals. Students establish these goals based
on their own interests and thinking.
In
order to measure the process, a few students at grades 8, 10, and 12
will be randomly selected for a five-minute interview to determine if
they can state their career goals and educational plans. All
information in these interviews will remain confidential, and individual
student names or identification numbers will not be recorded. The
interviews will be one measure to determine whether the Individual
Career Plan process is helping students at our school set tentative
career goals and educational plans to reach those goals. |
