   "To ensure the success of all ninth graders, the   transition team will create a safe, structured
learning environment that fosters individual
 student growth."

9th Grade Transition Goals

•  Measure and improve literacy for all freshmen.
•  Utilize data to make decisions.
•  Implement a plan to communicate with parents each quarter.
• Monitor attendance and behavioral issues and intervene before problems become significant.
• Create and use consistent structure among team and core teachers.
• Implement a program to improve study and organizational skills.
• Celebrate student successes on a regular basis.
• Establish and implement an intervention plan to address academic struggles at the beginning of the school year.
• All freshmen will participate in a extracurricular activity.

• Implement an ambassador program for 9th grade transition students.
