Closing Information can be obtained by calling 943-5097.

When weather conditions are threatening, the conditions of the roads in the School District will be checked by transportation personnel.  Existing conditions will be reported to the superintendent, who will make a decision, based on all available information, whether to close the schools.

The road will be checked early in the morning, and a decision will normally be made no later than 5:30am.  The superintendent will immediately notify the following radio and TV stations of a decision to close schools, and they will then broadcast a notice of closing.

We sometimes utilize a one or two-hour delay because this allows additional time for road crews to complete their work.  If you hear a one or two-hour delay, you should continue to monitor your radio since changing conditions could warrant closing later.

We call a centralized media reporting services, which prepares the listings of school delays and closings for most of the local radio and television stations.  The following stations are included in this service:

WLW/AM (700) WVMX/FM(94.1) WEBN/FM(102.7
WKRQ/FM9101) WYBE/FM9105) WSAU/AM(1530)
WYGY/FM(96) WGRR/FM(103.5) WRRM/FM(98.5)
WKRC/AM(550) WVAE/FM(94.9) WCPO-TV(9)

School closings will be announced as WEST CLERMONT SCHOOLS.  Individual schools in the District will not be called by name.
