Counseling Program Mission

Keys to Success:

You can set your middle schooler up for success this year by developing some basic routines.  Follow these guidelines and it’s sure to be a good year!

·          Attend school EVERY day unless I’m sick and running a fever.

·          Get 8-10 hours of sleep nightly.

·          Eat breakfast.

·          Be on time.

·          Pay attention in each class.

·          Use the agenda to copy ALL assignments.

·          Don’t put off projects/homework, schedule homework time daily.

·          Bring your supplies daily.

The Amelia Middle School Counseling Program will provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. School counselors are professional school advocates who provide support to help remove academic and/or social barriers to student success. In partnership with other educators, parents or guardians and the community, school counselors will facilitate these support systems to ensure that all students have access to and are prepared with the knowledge and skills necessary to become productive members of this community.
