Our School

Amelia Middle School serves approximately 1,000 students in Grades 6, 7, and 8. Our doors open at 7:06, the school day begins at 7:15 and ends at 2:15. The school colors are royal blue and white. The school mascot is the baron.  The baron symbolizes honor, excellence, and pride.

Amelia Middle School will serve the community by educating in a student-centered environment with a commitment to encourage academic achievement, responsibility, creativity, self-discipline, and good citizenship.
        The Amelia Middle School Staff will continuously strive to improve our educational program and student development through positive expectations and the development of programs focusing on student needs.

Our Vision

To respond to the needs of the middle school child we will provide:

• A positive and safe school climate that fosters mutual respect.
• Tailored programs to meet the unique developmental needs of the middle adolescent.
• High academic expectations which prepare all students to become productive, contributing members of society.
• Effective communication within the school community.

    Supportive and involved students, parents, staff, and community members through their participation, service, and cooperation will benefit all by developing healthy, productive and ethical citizens capable of achieving success in the twenty-first century.
