G/T Resource Room New Parents' Meeting in the Clough Pike Computer Lab - Thursday, August 30, 2007 (7:00 - 8:00 p.m.) 

G/T Resource Room teachers visit the students in their home schools - Wednesday, September 5, 2007 (Parents, please be sure to check the paperwork in the bag given to your child that needs to be completed and brought back to G/T the first week of class.)

G/T Resource Room class (pull-out) begins - Monday, September 10, 2007 (9:20 a.m. - 2:25 p.m.)

field trips:  Woodland Lakes (September 24, 25, or 26, 2007, on students' regularly scheduled G/T day); National Inventors' Hall of Fame (October 19, 2007)

Midwest Academic Talent Search registration (September 1 - October 30, 2007); EXPLORE test dates (January 26, 2008, or February 23, 2008)

in-service days (no school) - September 28, November 6, and April 11 (no early release days this year)

Fall Student and Parent Conferences (children should attend, if possible) - November 8 and 13, 2007

District G/T Family Nights for children, siblings, and parents -  Game Night!!! -  Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at Summerside Elementary School and a repeat performance at Merwin Elementary on Thursday, November 29, 2007 (7:00 - 8:15 p.m.)

First G/T Resource Room Report Cards/Written Educational Plans - will be included in your child's report card envelope from the home schools after the second quarter

Winter Student and Parent Conferences (children should attend) - January 30 and February 5, 2008

Architecture by Children/Dwelling:

January 2008 - presentations by architects

January, February, and March 2008 - project work period

April 5, 2008 - projects dropped off at the public library downtown for exhibition between noon and 3:00 p.m.

April 5 - 12, 2008 - public exhibition at the public library downtown during regular library hours

April 12, 2008 - 12:00 noon award ceremony and reception at the public library downtown; 1:00 presentation; children receive their  t-shirts

district-wide testing of referred students in kindergarten and grade 1 for gifted identification - beginning April 7, 2008 

G/T Showcase Extravaganza -  April 3, 2008 (Clough Pike Elementary  School); set up any time after 3:15 p.m. (6:15 p.m. students arrive, 6:15 -7:00 p.m. potluck dinner, 7:00 p.m. showcase, 8:15 p.m. clean-up)
