Mock Trial
Are you interested in our country’s legal system? Think you might like to be
a lawyer? Wonder what it’s like to be a witness to a crime? You may want to
join GE’s Mock Trial team. Founded in 1983, Ohio Mock Trial is an
award-winning educational program and academic competition teaching high
school students about their constitutional rights and responsibilities.
Today, Ohio’s program is the third largest high school mock trial program in
the country. Only California and New York’s programs are larger. Mock Trial
is supported by the Ohio Center for Law Related Education, the Supreme Court
of Ohio, the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Civil Liberties Union of
Ohio, and the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. This is the 9th year
that Glen Este has participated in the program. Some Glen Este graduates have
served on collegiate Mock Trial teams. Mock Trial team meets from October
until February when District Competition is held.
