Upon arrival, graduates need to check in at the Kolhepp Family Auxiliary Gym entrance
located on the
West side of the
Cintas Center.
Parking is available in
lots C-1 and R-1.
Robert Glutz Photography [ 513.528.5888 ] will have graduation
pictures available for viewing on-line 3 hours after the ceremony.
Personal cameras are allowed at the ceremony; however, no person is
allowed to leave their seat during the ceremony to take pictures.
Family pictures with the graduate in cap and gown
should be taken
prior to the ceremony.

to have your Senior Photo taken for the yearbook!
You don't necessarily have to buy a photo package, but
we want you in the yearbook! The deadline is the end of

Graduation practice will be 8:00am, May 30, in the GEHS Gym.
ALL
Seniors must attend graduation practice
in order to participate in the
graduation ceremonies.
If you
have not ordered your cap and gown, you need to do so ASAP!!
Order forms are available in the West office
or caps and gowns can be ordered online from
Herff Jones.
Caps and gowns are mandatory for participation in the graduation ceremony.

Graduates who have received scholarships and would like that information
listed in the graduation program must submit the information to Mrs.
Denton no later than May 11.
Mrs. Denton's office is in the West Office or she can be reached at:

Fees must be paid in full by cash or money order only
by May 29.
Graduates NOT participating in the graduation ceremony
must send a written letter to Mrs. Weaver by May 18.

All parents and guests will park in Lot C-2 and enter through the South
entrance.
Graduates are not allowed to wear
shorts, jeans, or gym shoes, and are not allowed to display lettering,
stickers or emblems on their caps or gowns.
Cintas Center security does not
allow signs, banners, balloons or noise makers in the arena. These
items will be confiscated and the guest will be removed from the arena.
Caps and gowns are mandatory for participation in the graduation ceremony.

Graduates
are to return caps and gowns at the completion of the ceremony.
Failure to return either cap or gown will result in diploma being held.
Students keep tassel and cord.

Diploma
jackets will be handed to graduates during the ceremony.
Immediately following the ceremony, graduates will march out of the hall and
be directed to tables in the auxiliary gym to return caps and gowns and
receive their official diploma.
Fees must be paid in full [by cash or money order only] by May 13.
Only the graduate may enter the Kolhepp Family Auxiliary Gym to pick up the diploma.
Once the procession has begun, no admittance to the
ceremony will be allowed.
All ceremony participants must check-in with
the attendant prior to entering the
Cintas Center.

Graduation Requirements
through the Class of 2013
The requirements for graduation from high school through the Class of
2013 include earning twenty (20) units of credit in grades nine through
twelve as follows:
English Language Arts -- 4 units
Health -- 1/2 unit
Mathematics -- 3 units
Physical Education -- 1/2 unit
Science -- 3 units
Social Studies -- 3 units
Fine Arts -- 1 unit
Electives -- 5 units
Graduation Requirements for the Class of 2014
and beyond
Beginning with the Class of 2014 and beyond, the requirements for
graduation from high school include earning twenty (20) units of credit in
grades nine through twelve as follows:
English Language Arts -- 4 units
Health -- ½ unit
Mathematics -- 4 units
Physical Education -- ½ unit
Science -- 3 units
Social Studies -- 3 units
Other requirements:
§ Mathematics units must include 1 unit of Algebra II or the equivalent of
Algebra II.
§ The Ohio Core allows school districts to adopt a policy that would exempt
students who participate in interscholastic athletics, band or cheerleading
for two full seasons from the physical education requirement. Students must
take another course of at least 60 contact hours in its place.
§ Science units must include 1 unit of physical sciences, 1 unit of life
sciences and 1 unit advanced study in one or more of the following sciences:
Chemistry, Physics, or other physical science; advanced biology or other life
science; Astronomy, Physical Geology, or other earth or space science.
§ Social Studies units must include ½ unit of American History and ½ unit of
American Government.
§ All students must receive instruction in Economics and Financial Literacy
during grades 9-12 and must complete at least two semesters of Fine Arts taken
any time in grades 7-12.
§ Students following a career-technical pathway are exempted from the Fine
Arts requirement.
Honors Diploma Criteria
Students must have 7 of the 8 criteria listed below:
- 4
units of English
- At
least 4 units of mathematics, which shall include Alg I, Alg II, Geometry,
and another higher level course.
- At
least 4 units of science, including one unit of physics and one unit of
chemistry.
- Ear
4 units of social studies.

Earn either 3 units of one foreign language or two units each of two foreign
languages.

Earn one unit of fine arts.
-
Maintain an overall high school grade point average of at least 3.5.
-
Obtain a composite score of 27 on ACT or a combined score of 1210 on the SAT
(excluding the writing section.)
Award
of Merit Criteria
- 4
units of English
- 3
units of mathematics, including algebra and geometry)
- 3
units of science (including 2 units of biology, chemistry, and/or physics)
- 3
units of a foreign language (or 2 units in each of two languages)
- 3
units of social studies (including ½ unit of government)
- 2
additional units from: Business, Computer Science, or Visual or Performing
Arts)

Maintain above average attendance as set each year by the Ohio Department of
Education.

Earning a 3.25 grade point average for all 4 years, or a 3.5 for grades 11
and 12, or ranking in the top 25 percent of the class)

Participate in extracurricular or community activities.

Demonstrate outstanding citizenship/character traits.
President’s Award
- 3.5
grade point average or higher for all 4 years.

Score a 26 or higher on the ACT in either Math or Reading.
