| What goes on in American Studies? |

Students examine history through the use of primary sources. They analyze historical documents, letters, journals, photographs, speeches and other first hand accounts of history. |

Through the team teaching concept, History and English classes will be closely linked. An example of such a class might involve the history class investigating a historical mystery. The language arts portion of the activity could be to report on the progress of the investigation or to write a persuasive essay detailing the student's theory. |

The School of American Studies provides our students with an exciting first account of history and a balanced curriculum. All students have their choice of exciting electives and meet all standards set by the Ohio State Board of Education. |
