The President:

Presides over GEMSSC meetings, preparing an agenda for the meeting for the entire Student Council

Guides the discussion, seeing that all members have an equal chance to be heard
-
Votes on GEMSSC issues only in case of a tie
-
Approves the minutes and the treasurer’s report
-
Represents the school and GEMSSC at other functions
-
Encourages committee organization, planning, and general efficiency
-
See that committee reports are complete and written on time
The Vice-President:
-
Presides over the GEMSSC meetings in the absence of the president
-
Is in charge of maintaining individual duty lists
-
Sees that individual duties are completed
The Secretary:
-
Takes roll and keeps a record of attendance
-
Takes minutes during the meetings, rewrites the minutes after the meetings and submits them to the GEMSSC advisor
-
Reports on and answers all correspondence
-
Keeps the files in order
The Treasurer:
-
Maintains the GEMSSC financial records
-
Obtains the financial report from the school secretary prior to the GEMCCS meeting
-
Reports on the income, expenditures and balance at each GEMSSC meeting
Activities Coordinators:
-
Will promote school spirit among students and faculty
-
Will organize and run school spirit activities throughout the school year
-
Will handle publicity for all GEMSSC activities throughout the school year
-
Will maintain the GEMSSC bulletin board
-
Will work with school administration in organizing and running social events
-
Will report to student body on up-coming events
