Welcome to Summerside Elementary School’s website, home of the Eagles  Spirit Sam! At Summerside we have a strong tradition of excellence in education where every child counts and is encouraged to learn to his/her fullest potential. We have a full range of academic programs and supports in order to increase every student’s academic skills. This year our 45-minute block schedule optimizes student learning in and outside the classroom. We serve a diverse student population which includes students with different abilities that are included in the general education setting. At Summerside we care about the whole child and believe that education involves character education as well as providing enrichment opportunities after school. Our school hosts martial arts classes, intramural sports, art classes, and scouts for children to participate in if they choose. Summerside currently enrolls about 600 students grades K-5. Our staff is dedicated to maintaining a safe, clean, positive environment for all school members. We have selected “Respect, Responsibility, and Accountability” as our school-wide expectations for all shareholders who work and play together at school. Our safe school environment allows every child to feel free to learn and grow as an individual under the guidance of our caring staff of dedicated, professional educators. Parent volunteers, especially our active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), enhance our learning environment by providing financial support and an extra set of willing hands to support student education. We place children first and work hard to partner with families because we realize that children are our most valuable community resource. It’s no wonder we feel that everyday is a great day to be an Eagle!

Do To Winter Weather the Mother & Son Dance is rescheduled for Friday, Feb. 19th from 7-9pm. 

Summerside PTO is selling Marco's Pizza Discount Cards.  Please contact Sherri Cornett (753 0254) if you would like to order one.

Cookbooks are for sale for $11.50 each.  If you would like to purchase, please call Heidi at 253-9206 and she will take your order.

Papa John's is the 3rd Thursday of the Month.   Summerside gets 20% of all sales on this day.  Look for the flyer coming home.
