Dear Brantner Families,
Fall is around the corner which is always an exciting time at Brantner Elementary. The heat starts to subside (we can only hope:), and a sense of community and routine that feels safe is secure which then allows for the magic to happen, engaged, focused learning. You can ask your child about the work they are doing when they are in a small group with their teacher, when they are in a learning center, and how they are strengthening math problem solving skills with manipulatives and collaborative conversations.

Mrs. Everete’s third graders are using a text about a lemonade sale to graph sales together.
Third graders in Ms. McLaren’s homeroom are engaged in a small group math lesson while the other students are working independently on the computer and in review work.
Speaking of fall fun… we have a LOT around the corner!
We hope your child can join us for our first fall Student Lock In this coming Friday! This is a fun event for our students and staff to continue to connect outside of our classrooms. Brantner students can be, “locked-in,” immediately after school from 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm for a fun filled, Halloween themed event on Friday, October 12. PTO Fall Fundraiser
Our Fall fundraiser began last week and hopefully you and your child are excited about the new fall catalog! Students will be taking orders from our gift catalog but we also have over 1500 items online to order from including kitchen items, jewelry, magazines, and more! All profits will be used to support our PTO events throughout the year, including student enrichment opportunities.
We are hoping that every family will share this fundraising project with as many friends and family as possible! Plus…one of the prizes this year is to get to attend a BMX show!
What you can do to help to get a head start:
1. Register at gaschoolstore.com using our school ID #464818 send 10 emails to friends and family who may support your child. Online sales will count toward prizes!
2. Share our fundraising link bit.ly/brantneres on social media and text to as many people as you can! It really works and purchases count towards prizes!
3. All of the important info is in the packet that was sent home with students, including the key date of 10/12 where all money and orders are due this Friday!!

WC Connects Parent Education Series
In partnership with local community partners, the West Clermont School District is launching the West Clermont Connects Parent Education Series. These monthly sessions will focus on different topics ranging from: Mental Health, Teen Substance Abuse, Physical Wellness/Nutrition, Technology Safety, and Teen Driving. Our next session called, “Hidden in Plain Sight - Drug/Alcohol Abuse Prevention” will be held on Thursday October 18th during Parent/Teacher Conferences at West Clermont High School. There will be two sessions: 4:30pm-5:30pm and 6:00pm-7:00pm. All sessions will be held in Community Room A. The sessions are free and the entire community is welcome to attend. WEATHER ALL CALL TEST
With the winter months coming up, we will be conducting a test call of our weather notification system on Tuesday October 23rd. This system will be used to notify you in the event of a school closing or delay. If you do not receive the call, if you would like to change your number, or if you would like your number excluded from the future notifications please contact your child's school.

Did you know that the West Clermont School District has a food pantry for our families that cope with food insecurity? The WolfPack Pantry is a team effort between the local non-profit group Cincy Kids 4 Kids, the Freestore Foodbank, the West Clermont School District, and our amazing community!
The Wolfpack Pantry is located inside of West Clermont Middle School and is open twice a month from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. In an emergency, contact the Wolfpack Pantry at email@example.com.

What items are available at the Wolfpack Pantry?
Canned goods, frozen meat and foods, occasional fresh produce, breakfast foods, feminine items, personal care items, detergents, toilet paper and more. (All items are based on availability from the Freestore Foodbank and donations from our community.
How can I help the Wolfpack Pantry?
You can check out the Cincy Kids 4 Kids Facebook page for the latest information. Our current needs are:
- Pasta Sauce - Any variety
- Laundry Pods - Can be any size containers, we portion them out.
- Fabric Softener sheets
- Dish Detergent - small liquid bottles (dollar tree size)
- Small bottles of cleaning supplies
- Kid Friendly Cereal
- Pop tarts
- Canned Skyline - Not a necessity but our families would LOVE this.
- Microwaveable meals - Like hormel small complete meals, ravioli
- Can openers
You can turn items in to the collection buckets at both West Clermont Middle School (7th/8th grade office) and West Clermont High School (main office). You can also donate items at Everything Bagels.
We wish our fifth graders a safe and fun trip to Camp Kern on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday! Thank you for your continued partnership in your child's education!
