West Clermont Leaders Recognized by the School Nutrition Association of Ohio

West Clermont Local Schools is proud to announce that two district leaders have
been recognized by the School Nutrition Association (SNA) of Ohio for their impact on student success
and school nutrition programs.
Jessica Walker, West Clermont’s director of child nutrition, has been named the 2026 Director of the
Year, while Superintendent Dr. David Fultz has been recognized as the 2026 Most Valued
Superintendent.
Walker earned the Director of the Year honor for her leadership and dedication to enhancing the
student experience. The award recognizes individuals who make a meaningful impact through
innovation, staff development and community engagement.
Since joining West Clermont, Walker has worked to transform cafeterias into welcoming,
student-centered environments. Through initiatives such as themed menus, improved meal
presentation and student taste-testing opportunities, she has increased participation and redefined
how students experience school meals.
“Jessica has a unique ability to balance the complex logistics of a large-scale nutrition program with a
genuine passion for our students’ well-being,” the nomination noted.
Dr. Fultz was also recognized for his strong support of the district’s Child Nutrition program and his
belief that access to nutritious meals is essential to student learning. His hands-on leadership, from
volunteering at student events to championing the program across the district, has helped ensure
school meals remain a valued part of the educational experience.
“Dr. Fultz understands that when students have access to nutritious, appealing meals, they are better
prepared to focus, learn and thrive,” the nomination stated.
