Fine Arts Home

Our district has a long and proud history of excellence in the fine arts. The opportunities our students have are filled with a variety of groups and courses that promote creativity, problem solving skills, and individual expression. We know that the fine arts are crucial to a student’s creative, emotional, and personal development and are intentional about investing in these programs and opportunities.

The arts provide opportunities for our students to grow and strengthen every competency in our Portrait of a Graduate—academic and life skills, communication and collaboration, character and integrity, innovation and creative thinking, and resiliency and adaptability. The arts help our students prepare for adult life and teach them to use both the left and right side of their brain, to pay attention to details, develop good work ethics, and accept constructive criticism from others.

These programs are a safe space for our students—allowing them to put forward their best efforts unafraid of being judged or ridiculed. The arts create a community that makes lifelong friendships and memories. Most importantly, the arts are an important vehicle for our students to create the lives they desire and to pursue personal happiness and joy!
