The learning that happens in and outside our classrooms every day is the most important thing we do, and at West Clermont we want to provide the highest quality education possible.
Knowing the challenges we face in our world today of shifting demographics, technological advances, ever-increasing college expenses, an evolving global job market, and changing economic and social conditions, we must shape plans for today’s students in different ways than what we have successfully done in the past. As a result, it was imperative that we engaged in a strategic planning design process to build a collective vision for what our hopes and dreams are for the future of our students.
The purpose of the strategic plan is to align our resources so that we make sure that all we are doing is directive and that it affirms or updates our mission, vision and values.
Our process involved a Student Success Thought Exchange, an online survey, interviews with school board members, engagement events and focus groups with all of our stakeholders—from students to community members, and an in-depth review of best practices as well as local and national trends in education.
Our hope was to maintain a level of engagement throughout the process to ensure that all stakeholders believe that this plan best reflects our district mission.
