West Clermont Words: Trust & Communication

Trust and Communication

Developing a healthy organization entails creating a culture of trust through building strong relationships using effective communication. Last year we worked very hard to build trust with our West Clermont family by creating communication that was consistent, proactive, and provided clarity about decisions that we had to make. In addition, each building leader communicated weekly with staff and parents; we created a district #WCconnects e-newsletter that was sent out two times per month; we mailed home the district’s Quality Profile; we featured important district news and initiatives on our webpage and social media; the Clermont Sun printed news articles about the district; and we shared email alerts to parents with relevant, timely information. We also created community engagement opportunities through online Thought Exchanges and face-to-face meetings.

We will continue our efforts to create a predictable communication rhythm with weekly principal emails and two monthly parent newsletters (#WCconnects and #WCcares), and this year we have expanded that communication with a community e-newsletter (#WCcommUnity), and we will increase our face-to-face engagements to listen and learn more about the district together. And with the help of our district partners, we have mailed the latest Quality Profile, which highlights a big-picture view of what was accomplished last school year.

We also want to connect with parents and our community on digital platforms. We currently have over 16,000 followers across our social media platforms but we know our community is bigger than that and ask that you please help us expand our reach by following us:
