The West Clermont community recently gathered for the State of the Schools Showcase, welcoming approximately 350 attendees for an evening focused on celebrating student success while sharing an honest look at the future of our district. Superintendent Dr. David Fultz highlighted the many accomplishments of West Clermont students and staff and reaffirmed our commitment to preparing every learner for their future.
West Clermont continues to demonstrate strong academic results while remaining responsible with taxpayer dollars. The district ranks among Ohio’s top districts for Value Added growth, placing in the top 13% statewide, and West Clermont High School recently reached its highest four-year graduation rate ever at 97.4%. Students continue to shine both in and out of the classroom, earning recognition in academics, music, and athletics, while several staff members were honored at the regional and state level for excellence in teaching.
The evening also reinforced the district’s commitment to its vision through WC Your Future: Preparing Students for Anything, Not Just Something. This work centers around three core promises to students — Learning, Leading, and Genius — ensuring that every child has the opportunity to build skills, develop leadership, and discover their unique strengths.
Dr. Fultz also spoke transparently about financial challenges facing the district due to recent state legislation impacting school funding. While these changes may require difficult decisions in the future, West Clermont remains committed to working together with families and the community to navigate the path forward.
The evening concluded with families exploring the showcase and experiencing firsthand how West Clermont students are learning, leading, and succeeding every day. Together, as one community, we continue to build a district where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
