National School Staffing Shortage Gives Extra Meaning to This Year’s Teacher Appreciation Week

From spending time outside of school helping students create outdoor learning spaces to volunteering at local food pantries, I am grateful for the continued dedication of our teachers and staff to making West Clermont a district ON THE RISE.

During National Teacher Appreciation Week, we take time to celebrate and appreciate the hard work and passion our teachers bring to our schools and students each day; for all the ways they help our students achieve their goals, inside and outside of the classroom.

Our appreciation doesn’t end with our teachers. Our administrators, support staff, bus drivers, food service team, maintenance crew, and custodians all work tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our buildings are safe and clean. They keep our technology functioning, our students fed, and they provide essential support to our students and teachers.

As many of you know, our country is experiencing a school staffing shortage like never before. The time to say thank you is now. As a district, we will be showering our teachers and staff with appreciation through various events and activities throughout the remainder of this school year. I encourage you, as parents and students, to take time to show your appreciation, whether through a personalized letter, homemade baked goods, or a plant or flowers for their home or classroom.

On behalf of the entire West Clermont Schools community, thank you to our teachers and staff for making a difference! Happy National Teacher Appreciation Week!
