January is School Board Recognition Month in Ohio, a time to recognize the local leaders who help shape the direction of our schools. This year’s theme, Scaling to New Heights in Public Education, is a fitting one. It reflects the work our Board is doing every day to help West Clermont grow, adapt and stay focused on what matters most: our students.
Our Board members are more than decision-makers. They represent our community, support student success and help ensure every dollar is used wisely. That commitment was recently recognized at the state level, as the West Clermont Board of Education received the Ohio Board of Distinction Award from the Ohio School Boards Association, one of only five districts recognized statewide out of 611.
Their leadership may not always be in the spotlight, but it plays a vital role in what happens across our schools each and every day. Every step forward we take as a district is backed by their steady leadership. They ask tough questions, listen to the community and make decisions that keep us moving forward, whether it’s about academics, facilities or the future of our district.
We’re grateful for the service of Ryan Patton, Jim Rudy, Tammy Spencer, Tina Sanborn and Michael Chumley. Their time, energy and commitment to our students and community don’t go unnoticed.
Thank you for helping us reach new heights, and for believing in our mission to commit to excellence with every learner, every day, every way.
