West Clermont Wolf Pup Preschool student

West Clermont Wolf Pup PreschoolWest Clermont Wolf Pup Preschool Program Overview

The West Clermont integrated preschool program is a high-quality pre-kindergarten program that provides an engaging and developmentally appropriate environment and learning experiences for students to prepare them for kindergarten. Each class has the capacity to include eight students who are developing typically and eight students identified with special needs. In each class, an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist engages students in curricular experiences that are aligned with the Ohio Department of Education’s Early Learning and Development Standards along with the support of a paraprofessional. Additional services are provided for students as intervention needs are identified.

Enrollment Process

The following application process is designed for students with typical development. Parents and guardians of students with identified special needs documented in an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or of students for whom a disability is suspected should contact the West Clermont Special Education Department at (513) 943-5029 for additional enrollment information.

West Clermont uses an online lottery process for enrolling typically developing students in preschool. (The lottery is NOT for special education students and/or students on IEPs). For the 2024-25 school year:

  • Parents/guardians will complete an online form between January 16 and January 30, 2024 to enter the lottery.
  • The lottery drawing will occur on February 2, 2024.
  • All applicants will be notified via email by the end of the work day on Monday, February 5, 2024 regarding their status.
  • Once parents/guardians are notified that their child is offered a seat in the preschool program, they can begin the registration process. Details about how to complete registration will be provided in the email.
  • Families will have 14 days to complete the registration process after the email notification. Those that do not complete the registration process (including a paid deposit) within 14 days (by February 19, 2024) will be placed on a wait list.
  • Returning students will be able to renew their enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year without participating in the lottery.
  • Students who are not drawn in the lottery and all entries received after February 1st will be placed on the 2024-2025 Preschool Waitlist.
  • If you missed the initial online lottery, and are still interested in a spot within the preschool program for the 2024-2025 school year please fill out the 2024-2025 Preschool Waitlist.
  • The upcoming lottery will prioritize students aged 4-5 years old. If there are still openings at the conclusion of the lottery, students aged 3 years old will be offered a spot within the preschool program.
